This French limestone, French Regency style mantel is exceptionally simple, with hand-carved floral corner motifs and fluted carvings on the jambs. This mantel was imported from France to decorate the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, which opened on Park Avenue October 1, 1931. Original to suite 25Y, a Waldorf Astoria authenticity card is included with your purchase. The entire piece is in very good condition with wear consistent with its age and is on display in the showroom of our flagship store located at 333 W 52nd St. NYC.
